MISSION The PTSA strives to be a powerful voice for children,
a relevant resource for families and communities,
and a strong advocate for the education and well-being of every child.

The PTSA has many open positions for the 2015-2016 school year including President, Vice President, and several committee chairs.  Whether you have a lot or just a little time to volunteer, we need you! More than one person can share committee chair positions.  We've had parents continue to serve even after their children graduated. Please consider one of the roles below!

 Driver Ed Funding

The Senate budget provides funding for additional teachers for smaller class sizes but includes significant cuts to teacher assistants and fails to provide state funding for driver education.
The budget allows local school districts to charge parents the full cost of the driver education program. An amendment adopted this week by the Senate Appropriations Committee provided that students may obtain initial permits without traditional driver education.

If funding for teacher assistants and state funding for driver education is important to you, please take the time to contact your legislators and ask them to support the provisions in the House budget that provide state funding for driver education and more funding for teacher assistants.

You can find contact information for your state representative and state senator by clicking here.
